Do you want to take your Therapeutic Touch practice to the next level? Do you want to receive individual attention from an experienced Therapeutic Touch teacher? The Mentorship Program is an opportunity to do just that. The intent of this program is to provide supportive mentoring relationships for TT therapists as they begin to deepen their own understanding of Therapeutic Touch as a transpersonal act of healing based on compassion for others.

Those of you in the early days of your TT practice may be experiencing some difficulties in grasping the scope and potential depth TT holds for you. An intermediate student might be feeling, “Now that I’ve gotten myself into this, where am I going? I know that I do know some things, and I also know that it isn’t enough.” The more advanced student may wonder if he or she has reached this point in development by some kind of inertia and may feel a concern that others are now expecting him or her to take on some responsibility. Questions may be arising such as: How did I get here? Am I worthy? How do I find and pursue the threads of my own development?

The Mentorship program is here to help you with these questions. Come and join us for this intensive week, which will include daily clinical TT sessions, presentations by the mentors and a final presentation by the mentor groups. The goal of each mentor is to answer your personal questions regarding your TT practice and to facilitate the deepening of your TT process. Working in small groups, with six students per mentor, provides a rich opportunity to look beyond the techniques of TT and explore the depths of the interior journey that is an integral aspect of the practice. The natural setting of Indralaya supports your process, offering forest trails for walking, swimming along the shoreline, an open meadow for a variety of recreations, and evening campfires (weather permitting) surrounded by guardian trees of century-old Douglas fir, madrona, western red cedar, and other great trees. Come and join us. Let us grow together!

Your experienced TT mentor will be under the guidance of Program Coordinator Julie Benkofsky-Webb. The program content will be individualized on the basis of the mentors’ expertise, and mentors will be matched with students based upon their applications. Individuals may also apply to attend the workshop as patients/healees.

This program is appropriate for students at a variety of stages in their development, for both healthcare professionals and lay TT therapists. This includes those who have recently taken a 12-hour Basic TT course, those who have completed the Intermediate- level course, and the more advanced/intermediate students who would like to deepen their understanding of the finer aspects of Therapeutic Touch.
