Therapeutic Touch (TT) classes were first offered at Camp Indralaya in 1977. Since that time, this healing technique has become increasingly accepted in hospitals and clinics throughout North America and around the world. It is taught in colleges and institutions around the world. A substantial base of formal and clinical research has been developed substantiating its efficacy in a variety of applications.
Acceptance to the Therapeutic Touch programs is by application only. In choosing the appropriate program level, please compare your own level of experience with the suggested qualification criteria and consider what would best further your studies at this time.
BASIC/INTERMEDIATE COURSE May 20-23, 2010 (Find out more / Register >>>)
This program is for lay people, nursing students, nurses, and other healthcare professionals new to the practice of Therapeutic Touch (TT). Participants will learn and practice the steps of TT, learn about current uses of TT with various clinical populations, and learn about TT research. Intermediate students will work to enhance their practice with small-group practice and experiences to deepen their understanding of the Therapeutic Touch process.
MENTORSHIP PROGRAM June 11-17, 2010 (Find out more/Register >>>)
Do you want to take your Therapeutic Touch practice to the next level? Do you want to receive individual attention from an experienced Therapeutic Touch teacher? The Mentorship Program is an opportunity to do just that. The intent of this program is to provide supportive mentoring relationships for TT therapists as they begin to deepen their own understanding of Therapeutic Touch as a transpersonal act of healing based on compassion for others.
CONTINUING EXPLORATIONS June 20-26, 2010 (Find out more/ Register>>>)
This program is for persons in the health field and other committed TT therapists who are treating people regularly and are prepared to go into greater depth regarding techniques, theory, and the exploration of healing dynamics, including the role of the Inner Self. We also welcome applications from serious intermediate-level students who have completed at least one intermediate-level workshop and have been practicing regularly for at least a year.
PATIENT/HEALEE PROGRAM June 11-17 & June 20-26, 2010 (Find out more /Register>>>)
For over 30 years, healees/patients have been an integral part of the Therapeutic Touch programs at Indralaya. A supportive and educational group process is designed specifically for those attending either of the June TT programs as healees/patients. In addition to daily Therapeutic Touch sessions, the healee program will include some of the following: yoga, relaxation training, music therapy tools, group discussion, and time for rest, all in a relaxed and restorative environment.
