Exploring the Spiritual Landscape: A Weekend Symposium
September 23–26 (Thursday dinner – Sunday lunch) The Earth has always held an evocative and deep spiritual resonance for its inhabitants. Wherever it is that we call home, we inform and are informed by the spiritual energies of that landscape. One of the great challenges of our age is to reaffirm and honor these more subtle forms of relationship that are all around us. By bringing a fuller awareness to these relationships we practice what might be called subtle bioregionalism and deepen our capacity to live in harmony with all our relations.
Through presentations, workshops, evocative evening programs, panel discussions and informal mealtime conversation, this interactive weekend will bring together presenters and participants to explore ways of effectively standing in close relationship with the living essence of the land and its inhabitants.
Peter Berry is devoted to the vitality of the “Threefold Alliance” between humanity, the Faerie Realm, and the myriad living beings with whom we share the planet. He has a passion for the Celtic harp, and its music has led him on a wide-ranging journey of discovery and exploration of the lore and spiritual insight associated with this magical instrument.
Jody Falconer has been consciously connecting with and learning from the devic and angelic realms for several years. Jody is a Therapeutic Touch practitioner and massage therapist, and her healing practices have been greatly informed by her developing relationship with the spiritual energies of the Earth. Her home is in Sonoma, Calif.
Lucinda Herring helps others co-create with the Earth and the natural world at life’s thresholds. She has 20 years’ experience celebrating the seasonal festivals of the year in community, and is now bringing the art of celebration/healing to the threshold of death. She is an interfaith minister, spiritual director, and certified death midwife, with a master’s in Spiritual Direction from the Lorian Center for Incarnational Spirituality.
