Sacred Doula Training

November 10–15 (Wednesday dinner – Monday lunch) Throughout history, women have supported other women during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. The modern version of this age-old tradition is the doula – a knowledgeable, experienced companion who provides emotional and physical support, encouragement, and wisdom for pregnant women and families.

In this workshop, the art of birth support and the sacredness of birth will be shared and celebrated. Whether you plan to work professionally as a doula, want to support a friend or sister in labor, or simply desire to connect with the power, magic, and mystery of the birth process, this workshop is an extraordinary journey exploring the physical, emotional, and spiritual aspects of womanhood, pregnancy, birth, and family.

Time will be spent in and outside the classroom, combining lecture-based learning with experiential learning, movement, dialogue, art, ceremony, and ritual.

This workshop is approved as one step toward certification by DONA International.
