A Clear Mind and a Calm Heart

Building Your Meditation Practice

September 30–October 3 (Thursday dinner – Sunday lunch) On this retreat we will take the time to strengthen the practice of living mindfully. Experience the extraordinary stillness that monastics know, of walking to the meditation hall each morning for sitting followed by breakfast. Lunch is preceded by a dharma talk, and then a walking meditation offers a chance to develop this worldly practice within the ideal setting of Indralaya. Afternoons allow for rest and relaxation, followed by a brief afternoon sitting, dinner, and an evening program. As twilight wraps itself around camp, we’ll close with a sitting in the beautifully lit meditation hall. The program will be conducted in “Noble Silence” (see www.plumvillage.org for a description of this practice). Participants with or without retreat experience are encouraged to attend this program.grace
