Connections

We warmly welcome both newcomers and returning campers, and while we encourage you to come for the full program, attending for a shorter period is quite OK. Most people participate in the work-party component of Connections for 3-3.5 hours a day and therefore qualify for the daily-staff discount of $30 off their lodging fees.

Note that this program is more than a week long.

July 31–August 9 (Saturday dinner – Monday breakfast)
This year’s Connections program, once again coordinated by Rolf Eriksen, will continue an Indralaya tradition of combining fruitful work projects with lively discussion, meditation, play time, and some surprises. It is our intention to promote the stewardship of the camp’s facilities, as well as the relationships that connect us all. Encouraging a dedicated group of campers who will continue the work of the camp selflessly in the future is our goal. This kind of dedication develops not only through work, but through shared experiences of all kinds.pear

So we invite participants of all ages, genders, and proficiency levels to come find a project that fits your abilities and interests – or helps you develop new skills. Various building projects will be offered, and of course there will be non-construction work to be done in the garden and kitchen, on the trails, and elsewhere. A good component of mentors will be on hand to lead projects both simple and complex.

Our campfire entertainment will arise primarily from your ranks, so please come prepared to share your musical, dance, theatrical, and comedic talents. We will organize fun with skits, improv, music, and poetry. Of course, we’ll also have volleyball, ping-pong, croquet, trips to the lake, beach time, good conversation, and naps. Whether you can attend for the whole program or only a day or two, please feel welcome.

This week will also feature discussions, led by longtime campers such as David Toren, Linda Jo Pym, and Marilynne Gardner-Toren, on what it means to live a Theosophical life, both in our community and in the larger world.

Program fee $12 per day    Locals / Day Visitor fee $15 per day

Camping is the only option available. All cabins are full. Please email indralaya@indralaya.com to register for a campsite or to be put on the wait list for a cabin.
