Meditation, Nature, and Community: Coming Home

August 29-September 3  (Wednesday dinner-Monday breakfast)

In these times of intensity and complexity, danger and opportunity, it is perhaps more important than ever that we learn and practice the inner and outer arts and sciences of cultivating peace and resilience within ourselves and for our world. In recognition of this, Joel & Michelle Levey return to Indralaya to guide this special contemplative program for practicing peace and increasing our capacity to embody the change we want to see in our world.

Our days together will include opportunities for deep personal reflection, dialogue, immersion in natural beauty and splendor, inspiring talks, group discussions, and living in a sanctuary of pristine natural beauty with supportive community. Our practice and inquiry will reflect a balance of silence and heartfelt sharing, time alone and time together in nature, interactive exercises, stillness and moving meditations.

Beginners as well as those well-seasoned in contemplative disciplines will find practical value in this inspiring program. Come prepared to savor the miracle of each mindful moment, to celebrate your place in the sacred circle of life, and to awaken more deeply to your true nature and highest potentials, for the benefit of all.

Dr. Joel and Michelle Levey have devoted their lives to the exploration of the world’s ancient and modern contemplative science traditions. They have studied with many of the most revered teachers of our time, including: the Dalai Lama, Krishnamurti, and Thich Nhat Hahn. As founders of Wisdom at Work, their work with organizations around the globe (Google, Intel, NASA, etc.) inspires leaders to bring a deeper wisdom, resilience, sustainability, and compassion to life. Their books include: Living in Balance: A Mindful Guide for Thriving in a Complex World; Mindfulness, Meditation, and Mind Fitness; The Fine Arts of Relaxation, Concentration, & Meditation; and Wisdom at Work.

His Holiness The Dalai Lama has blessed the Leveys’ life-work, saying: “You are presently engaged in work that has great prospects for bringing the Dharma to a very wide section of people who may not under ordinary circumstances come into contact with these profound transformational teachings.”
