PHOTO ALBUM -- Landscape | Animals | Buildings | History Since the camp's beginnings in 1927, its buildings, utilities, and infrastructure have all been created as a labor of love by literally hundreds and hundreds of devoted volunteers. We have had occasional professional help, but mostly campers have built Indralaya. Several work parties are held in the spring and fall. The number of participants at these fun and communal weekend gatherings ranges from 25 to more than a 100 people. There is no charge, as Indralaya provides room and board in exchange for your time and energy.
The main lodge was built primarily by volunteers, in 1958 and the early 1960s and contains the kitchen, dining room, lounge, office, and camp bell.
The lounge in the dining hall is a gathering place for meetings and relaxation, especially around the big stone fireplace.
The Fritz Kunz Memorial Library was built by volunteers in 1984 and contains an extensive metaphysical library.
The Teepee was designed and assembled by camp volunteers and serves as a meeting room that can open to the apple orchard and meadow.
